Formed in 2012 as part of a radio competition in New Zealand (NZ), TITANIUM is a record-breaking pop super group made up of 5 talents from around the world. Their smooth melodic harmonies and power-packed vocals mesmerized judges and helped them to win over a country.
Their first single, "Come On Home" reached #1 on the NZ charts in its first week of release. In less than a month it reached Platinum status and ultimately went on to gain Double Platinum status. TITANIUM then became the first artists in the country's history to have three official singles in the Top 40 at the same time (#s 1, 2 & 3).
They have since released two Gold status albums and seven singles. They've had the honor of opening for various mega stars such as Mariah Carey, Jason Derulo and Will I Am.
Zac Taylor, half Singaporean, was born in 1993 and is from Whakatane, New Zealand. Prior to auditioning for Group, he was selected to compete at the Voice of McDonald's finals in Orlando, Fl. He has been singing and participating in musical theatre his entire life and studied performing arts majoring in singing, dancing and acting at "Wellington Performing arts centre".
Haydn Linsley, born in 1993, is originally from Bristol, England. Inspired by his Grandfather, Tony Hatch (best known for composing the Neighbors' theme tune and Petula Clark's "Downtown"), Haydn left his hometown of Palmerston North, New Zealand to pursue his dreams. Prior to joining the Band, he studied personal training and Busked in the streets to make ends meet.
Shaquille Paranihi-Ngauma (Shaq) was born in 1993 and is from Gisborne, NZ. While living in Hamilton, he studied creative arts, majoring in Music at Wintec. Being the son of a musician, auditioning for the Band was a no-brainer. Shaq is considered a double-threat as his moves on the dance floor are parallel to his vocal abilities.
Taku Paradza (TK), originally from Masvingo, Zimbabwe, settled in New Zealand after his family sought political asylum from his native country. At the age of 16, TK wrote his first song. Before joining the Band, he had already released two albums independently. TK's life experiences and leadership abilities help to balance the hectic lifestyle of a boy band.
Andrew Papas is the youngest member of the Group. He is originally from South Africa and most recently lived in Auckland, New Zealand. Prior to joining the Band, Andrew was selected to represent New Zealand in The World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. He also worked as a host for a popular children's show. Entertaining has always come naturally to him.
